Urmia (IP) - Recent rainfalls and downpour of floodwaters made Lake Urmia, Jewel of northern provinces of West and East Azerbaijan as the world’s second largest saltwater come back to life, as the water level of the northwestern Lake Urmia has raised dramatically.

Iran Press/Iran news: Artemia ship, which was stuck on the lakebed for a long time due to dryness of Lake Urmia once again floated.

Currently, the volume of water in the Lake Urmia reached 3.13 billion cubic meters, while last year only 1.99 billion cubic meters of water was flowing in the lake in the same period.
