Iran's Kish Island plays major role in exporting health-oriented products
Kish (IP)- The head of Iran's Food and Drug Administration and Deputy Health Minister Mohammadreza Shanesaz said that Kish island is playing a major role in meeting Iran's needs in the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, as well as export of healthcare products.
Iran Press/ Iran news: Speaking on Tuesday evening at the Razi Hall in Kish Island International Conference Center in Hormozgan province in southern Iran, Deputy Health Minister Mohammadreza Shanesaz said according to customs statistics and information, the largest share of exported goods from the Kish Free Zone is health-oriented products.
The head of Iran's Food and Drug Administration stressed that if the plan is to export value-added products, goal setting should be on products that are more valuable to Iran.
He considered health-oriented products to be of strategic importance, adding, "As Europe and the United States face food and drug challenges, the export of healthcare products is an important issue for Iran."
