  • Senegal: Iran' s JCPOA important test for int’l community

Senegalese Foreign Minister Sidiki Kaba Showed support on Friday for Iran's nuclear deal, (JCPOA), calling it as an important test for the international community.

The JCPOA is the outcome of the international community’s consensus, Kaba said during a meeting with Iran envoy to Senegal Einollah Qashqavi.

He also urged all parties involved in the deal to try to preserve it.

We believe that differences should be solved through negotiations, Kaba stressed.

He referred to the JCPOA as the outcome of complicated and hard talks, saying disrespect to the deal will create instability in the world.

Senegal spared no efforts for signing the deal in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), he added.

Referring to Senegal's bid to establish relations with other countries, Kaba expressed readiness for developing cooperation with Iran.

The Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) joint commission meeting is being held in Vienna's Cobourg Hotel to hold consultations on mechanisms to continue implementation of the deal on May 25, 2018.

For the first time since the deal came into force in 2015, China, Russia, France, Britain and Germany have gathered at Iran's request without the United States, which pulled out on May 8.
