Iran COVID-19 death toll reaches 129 during past 24 hours: Spox.
Tehran(IP): Iran's Health Ministry spokeswoman Sima Sadat Lari said on Thursday that some 129 more Iranians have died from coronavirus disease (COVID-19) over the past 24 hours bringing the total deaths to 21,926.
Iran Press/Iran News: Sima Sadat Lari said that, with the 129 new victims, the country’s total COVID-19 deaths mounted to 21,926.
Some 1,994 new cases of infection with the COVID-19 were found over the past 24 hours, some 1,063 of whom have been hospitalized, she added.
Sadat Lari noted that a total of 380,746 Iranians have been confirmed infected with the COVID-19, some of 328,595 who have recovered or discharged from the hospital.
Some 3,702 other COVID-19 patients are in critical condition and being treated in intensive care units, the spokeswoman said.
She added that 3,307,383 tests have so far been carried out in Iran.
According to Mrs. Lari, the provinces of Tehran, Mazandaran, Gilan, Qom, Isfahan, Khorasan Razavi, East Azerbaijan, Kerman, North Khorasan, Semnan, Yazd, Zanjan, and Qazvin are in the red zone.
"The provinces of West Azerbaijan, Alborz, Fars, Lorestan, Hormozgan, Ardabil, Bushehr, Kermanshah, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad, South Khorasan, Markazi, Ilam, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Golestan, and Khuzestan are also on alert," the spokeswoman highlighted.
