Tunisian ex-President, Zine El Abidine Ben Ali, dies at 83
Former Tunisian President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali passed away on Thursday after suffering a health crisis, his lawyer Mounir Ben Salha said in a statement.
Iran Press/ Africa: Former Tunisian President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali passed away on Thursday after suffering a health crisis, Sputnik cited Tunisian Mosaique FM Radio and Achourouk newspaper as saying.
He was forced to flee to Saudi Arabia in 2011 following widespread public protests in Tunisia, where his dictatorial rule had lasted for decades.
