The US President, in a Twitter note which shows his confusion on international issues, denied his earlier repeated statements that he was ready to negotiate with Iran without any preconditions.
Iran Press/ America: Donald Trump on Sunday denied that he might be willing to meet with Iranian officials, saying reports that he would do so without conditions were not accurate.
The Fake News is saying that I am willing to meet with Iran, “No Conditions.” That is an incorrect statement (as usual!).

This is while, as recently as on Sept. 10, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said “He (Trump) is prepared to meet with no preconditions.”
Last year, at a joint news conference with the Italian prime minister, the US president said in response to a question about Iran, he would be willing to meet with Iranian officials.
Asked about his conditions for meeting with Iranian officials, Trump repeatedly stressed that there were no preconditions for such a meeting.
Trump's latest tweet has reinforced his reputation for blowing hot one minute and cold the next. The US President's vacillations and often erratic behaviour give the impression that he is not credible or reliable.
