US President has urged Turkish President to show military restraint in Syria in a weird diplomatic way, telling him "Don’t be a tough guy, Don’t be a fool!”

Iran Press/America: US President Donald Trump has written Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan a very strange letter, obtained by Fox Business’s Trish Regan.

The message’s theme – that Erdogan should show military restraint – was straightforward, but the prose style and phrasing, which includes the sentences “Don’t be a tough guy. Don’t be a fool!” are so surpassingly weird in a high-level diplomatic context.

Turkey had been poised to enter northeast Syria since Trump ordered American troops to pull out of Syria.

US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi criticized Trump's to withdraw US troops from Syria, saying: "President Trump gave Turkey the green light to attack our Kurdish partners, betraying the thousands of fighters who gave their lives to keep the world safe from the barbarism of ISIS."
