Majority of US public favors suing police officers for misconduct

The majority of the US public supports permitting citizens to sue police officers in order to hold them accountable for misconduct or using excessive force.
Iran Press/ America: 66% of Americans say that civilians need to have the power to sue police officers to hold them accountable for misconduct and excessive use of force, even if that makes the officers’ jobs more difficult.
This is while the legislation to address racism and the use of excessive force by law enforcement has been stalled in the US Congress.
