The UN Security Council once again failed to approve the Russian draft resolution on international aid deliveries to Syria via one checkpoint on the border with Turkey.

Iran Press/ America: The draft resolution suggested by Russia, received seven ‘no’ votes and four ‘yes’ votes (Russia, China, Vietnam, and South Africa), with four abstentions.

Russia's proposed resolution which suggested closing one of two remaining crossing points to humanitarians and only renewing the remaining one for six months.

Rejection of Russia's resolution was after that Russia and China vetoed a UN resolution backed by the United States that would have maintained humanitarian aid deliveries to Syria’s mainly rebel-held northwest through two crossing points from Turkey. 207
