Seven policemen killed in western Afghanistan

Seven Afghan policemen have been killed in two roadside bomb blasts in the west of the country.
Iran Press/Asia: Abdul Ahad Walizadeh, a spokesman for the Herat police chief in western Afghanistan, said: "Three policemen were killed and three others were injured in a roadside bomb blast on Herat-Aslam Qala highway on Saturday night."
A bomb blast near the Herat highway has killed at least four Afghan policemen and wounded two others.
No group or individual has claimed responsibility for the blasts, but local officials in Herat have said the Taliban's attacks on Afghan security forces and police have increased.
