  • Tehran and Kabul to accelerate bilateral cooperation

The Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for political affairs announced the agreement with the Afghan side to expedite the finalization of the comprehensive document of cooperation between the two countries and said: "We agreed to sign the comprehensive document in a short time."

Iran PressAsia: Attending in the meeting called 'the Iran- Afghanistan ties perspective; challenges and opportunities' Abbas Araghchi stressed that the signing of the Cooperation Document in this context signals the Iranian government's firm support for Afghanistan and the negotiations that would be led by the Afghan government having the dominant and determining role.

Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister stated that our goal in the comprehensive document is to strengthen the fields of cooperation, stressing: "We agreed to conclude the negotiations in a short time - a maximum of three months - and prepare a comprehensive document ready to sign.

Referring to the fact that the two sides need a common approach to deal with threats in the region, Araghchi highlighted that Security in the region should be considered as an integrated concept, and it can be said without exaggeration that peace and stability in Afghanistan guarantee peace and stability in Iran, and vice versa."  207
