In a telephone conversation with his French counterpart, the Chinese Foreign Minister called the US government the greatest destroyer of the international order.

Iran Press/Asia:  In a telephone conversation with French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian on Tuesday, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said the US government has stood at a point just against the historical process and international community.

The Chinese foreign minister added that US President Donald Trump has resorted to repressing China with the aim of winning the election and maintaining hegemony.

Wang Yi warned the world about the impending crises, including the Sino-US disputes, and said that if relations between the two countries turned into conflict and opposition, the fate of all mankind would be in danger.

Noting that China is determined to confront the US violation of Chinese legal interests and stressed that the rest of the world must work together to maintain solidarity and cooperation among the international community and to prevent a new war.

Tensions between the United States and China are flaring over the coronavirus, which the Trump administration accuses China of failing to control, as well as accusations of espionage, intellectual property theft, and human rights violations. 

American officials on Tuesday ordered the closure of China’s consulate in Houston, saying that diplomats there had aided in economic espionage, prompting China to order the closure of the American consulate in Chengdu.
