The Iranian and Turkish foreign ministers met and conferred in Moscow on Saturday.

 The meeting took place at the sidelines of an extraordinary trilateral foreign ministers' summit which is underway today, Saturday, in Moscow.  The foreign ministers of Iran, Russia and Turkey are currently discussing the latest developments in Syria.

Upon his arrival in Russia,  Zarif met his Turkish opposite number, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu .

The Iranian foreign minister will also meet and confer with his Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov. The two foreign ministers will discuss the situation regarding Iran's nuclear deal, since just a few days ago, United States and France threatened to scrap the landmark nuclear agreement.

Earlier this month, the presidents of Iran, Russia and Turkey, the three guarantor states of de-escalation zones in Syria, held a meeting in Ankara to discuss ways for peaceful settlement of the Syrian crisis.
