German anti-fascists demonstrators clashed with police on Tuesday at Berlin May Day rally.
Clashes erupted between police and anti-fascists during a May Day Demonstration rally in the Kreuzberg district of Berlin for International Workers' day. The protest march, which didn't have the authorization of the police, was attended by between 5,000 and 10,000 people.
Anti-fascist supporters and leftist groups have traditionally gathered in Kreuzberg since 1987, when a large riot broke out between police and autonomists in the Kreuzberg district.
Thousands of people, among them left-wing activists also joined the May Day marches in Hamburg to protest against capitalism, arms exports and racism.
