The European Commission issues a statement, once again reaffirming Europe's commitment to the nuclear deal (JCPOA), and European resolve to implement this agreement.

Following a meeting between the head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization, Ali Akbar Salehi, and EU's Energy Commissioner Miguel Arias Cañete , on Saturday morning, the European Commission issued a statement reiterating Europe's commitment to full implementation of the Iran nuclear agreement, the JCPOA.

In its statement the European Commission emphasized that implementation of the nuclear deal is essential for promotion of security and peace in the world, as well as for regional  development and advancement. The statement also pointed to the fact that the nuclear accord (JCPOA) has been unanimously approved by the United Nations security council, when it passed resolution 2231.

The statement also highlights the fact that the United Nations nuclear watchdog, the International Atomic Energy Agency, has issued 10 reports, each of which confirms Iran's honouring of its obligations and commitments under the nuclear deal, and the fact that Iran has fully carried out its commitments in this regard.
