  • Anti-Israel protesters take to the streets of London

Hundreds of protesters demonstrated in front of the Israeli embassy in London on Saturday, commemorating the first anniversary of the 'Great March of Return' protests in the Gaza strip.

Iran Press/Europe: Protesters chanted slogans in solidarity with Palestinians and called for an end to Israel's systematic violence against the Palestinians.

According to an Iran Press report, in the Gaza strip itself, tens of thousands of Palestinians, mostly young people, gathered near the border fence for a massive 'March of Return' anniversary protest.

Israeli military forces shot dead two Palestinians on Saturday, and injured more than 200 others, as people of Gaza start their mass protests marking the anniversary of the Great March of Return and the Palestinian Land Day.

The rallies have been held every week since March 30 last year. Palestinians want an end to the Israeli occupation of their lands. They are also demanding the return of Palestinian refugees to their homeland. 101/211
