  • 50 Swiss companies interested in Financial Mechanism for trade with Iran

Director of Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) and director of the Directorate for Foreign Trade Marie-Gabrielle Ineichen-Fleisch said that 50 Swiss companies are interested in participating in the Swiss Financial Mechanism for trade with Iran.

Iran Press/Europe: "So far, 5 companies have expressed interest and we think the number of such companies will increase," she said.

"If we can support Iran and export the needed pharmaceuticals and health items, we can have a good partnership," she said, referring to the outbreak of Coronavirus in Iran.

The Swiss ambassador to Tehran, Markus Leitner at a news conference on last Sunday at the Swiss embassy in Tehran said that the aim of the Swiss humanitarian trade mechanism is to ensure that exporters and companies based in Switzerland with branches in the country can have a secure financial channel for the pharmaceutical field and medicine with the help of the country's central bank and be able to continue exporting to Iran.
