The Speaker of the Polish Parliament Elzbieta Witek, in a message of congratulation to Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf on his election as Speaker of Iran's 11th Parliament, said that amid the coronavirus outbreak the two countries must work by the spirit of international unity.

Iran Press/ Europe: Elzbieta Witek issued a congratulatory message on Sunday to the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf.

The Polish official noted: "On behalf of the Parliament of the Republic of Poland, I congratulate you on your success in the Iranian Parliament's election. I believe that your rich professional experience has made you fully qualified for this prestigious position."

"In the case of dealing with coronavirus, we must work with the spirit of international unity," added the message.

"It is very important that we work with the spirit of international unity in such a difficult situation that we are in the midst of global disease," he said, adding: "With this in mind, I would like to express our full solidarity with the people of Iran who are deeply involved in this conflict."

"Hopefully, we will soon be able to overcome this crisis and return to our normal parliamentary relations, sending my best wishes for health and success that will bring satisfaction to you," Elzbieta Witek said.

Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf was elected as Iran's Parliament Speaker in the 11th term of the "Islamic Consultative Assembly" (Majlis) with 230 votes in favor on May 28.
