    Iran and Austria urge developing trading ties

Iran's Ambassador to Vienna and the Deputy Minister of Economy and Digital Affairs of Austria emphasized the expansion of interactions and trade relations between the various economic sectors of the two countries.

Iran PressEurope: Iranian Ambassador to Vienna Abbas Bagherpour Ardakani and the Austrian Deputy Minister of Economy and Digital Affairs Michael Sterl met in Vienna on Wednesday.

The two officials agreed at the meeting that the joint economic commission of the two countries would be held soon.

In addition, it was decided that the working groups established under the important document 'Roadmap for Economic Relations', which was signed in 2016, will be continuously strengthened by pursuing further agreements.

The meeting was also attended by the Director-General of Economic Cooperation, the Planning Adviser to the Minister of Economy, and the Director of the Middle East (West Asia), the United States and Africa Office of the Austrian Ministry of Economy.

During a recent meeting with Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen, Baqerpour Ardakani presented his credentials and expressed Iran's readiness to further expand relations with Austria in all political, economic, cultural and social fields based on historical and longtime relations between the two sides.

During the meeting, the Austrian President welcomed the development of relations between Vienna and Tehran and announced his readiness to help develop relations between the two countries. 207
