Fifth round of Iran-Austria joint energy workgroup session was held in Vienna on Friday.

Iran Press/ Iran news: The meeting was held with the participation of Iranian and Austrian institutions and ministries along with the representatives of prominent companies from the two countries active in the energy sector, according to Iran's Foreign Ministry.

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Ghasemi said on Friday that this event will last until 17 Jan in Vienna, Mehr News Agency reported.

According to Ghasemi, Iranian and Austrian experts and officials discussed a wide range of topics on boosting mutual cooperation in the energy sector, with a special focus on the latest technologies for harnessing renewables and reaching optimal energy consumption.

On 5 July 2018 Iran and Austria renewed energy pact and inked 4 agreements on health.
