The parliament passed a comprehensive election bill in Sunday's open session.

Iran Press/Iran news: A member of parliament's Board of Directors Alireza Rahimi, read out the approval of a comprehensive election bill and also proposed legislation to ban 'advertising private tutorial classes' in the open session of Majlis, according to Iran Press reporter.

MPs say IRIB has a responsibility to inform the public about the new electoral process

According to this article, the IRIB (Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting) is required to promote electoral norms and institutionalize them in public culture, in addition to explaining the status of the parliament and the duties of members of parliament, rules and regulations governing the electoral process, advertising by electoral candidates and their supporters, as well as electoral crimes and violations of rules and regulations. It is the duty of IRIB to inform the public in a proper manner.

In the open session of Majlis on Sunday, Iranian MPs approved a bill which bans any candidates who has already served three consecutive terms in the parliament (Majlis) from running again.

34 MPs currently in the Majlis will thus be disqualified from contesting the next parliamentary election, given this new rule.
