Zahedan (IP) - The funeral ceremony for an Iranian navy border guard, who was martyred in armed clashes with terrorists, was held in the southeastern province of Sistan and Baluchestan.

Iran Press/Iran news: Sergeant Major 'Morteza Rezei' marine guard of Chabahar naval base was martyred in armed clashes with terrorists in the waters of Gwadar Bay on Tuesday, Iran Press reported.

Gwadar Bay is located in the Gulf of Oman on the maritime border of Iran - Pakistan in Makran coastal strip.

Over the past years, Iranian security forces and border guards have engaged in several clashes with terror groups, many of whom tried to enter the country from Pakistan and Iraq to carry out attacks. 101/205
