Shushtar (IP) - Shushtar historical hydraulic system is a complex irrigation system back to Darius the Great in the 5th century B.C.
Iran Press/Iran news: The system that is located in Khuzestan, Iran's most south-westerly province, was registered on UNESCO's list of World Heritage Sites in 2009.
Shushtar Historical Hydraulic System is a series of bridges, dams, mills, waterfalls, canals, and huge tunnels for leading water that work together.
They were used from Achaemenid to Sassanid periods to take advantage of water more.
This ancient momentum is now one of the most-visited tourist attraction in Iran. 101/213
