Jask (IP) - Crew of two incident-hit vessels in the Sea of Oman who were rescued with Iran coordination have been taken to a convenient location in Jask port and are in good health and excellent condition.

Iran Press/Iran news: Crew of two foreign oil tankers, which had caught fire in the Sea of Oman and had been rescued in coordination with Shahid Rajaee Port's MRCC, have been taken to a convenient location in Jask port, Iran Press reported.

23 foreign sailors who were rescued in coordination with the Maritime Rescue Co-ordination Centre of Shahid Rajaee Port, were in the Marshall Islands-flagged tanker ship named 'FRONT ALTAIR', which was heading to Taiwan from the origin of Al Ruwais port in Qatar, when fired broke out on board the vessel in the Gulf of Oman.

Carrying a cargo of highly inflammable ethanol, the tanker caught fire, 25 miles off the coast of Jask port on the international shipping routes at 8:05 on Thursday morning.
