International academic collaborations in Iran's Mohaghegh Ardabili University soars by 150 percent
Ardabil (IP) - The Chancellor of the Mohaghegh Ardabili University in northwestern Iran announced the growth of the university's international scientific and academic cooperation with other universities and research institutes around the world.
Iran Press/Iran news: "The expansion of international scientific and research activities can be effective in promoting the national and international ranking of Iranian universities", Aziz Habibi said in an exclusive interview with Iran Press.
He reiterated that the university's joint research projects with faculties from foreign universities, including universities in Japan, Belgium, France, Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom, and the United States, had increased by about 150 percent in 2018 compared to the previous year.
"While international sanctions are in force, in the framework of scientific and academic cooperation with foreign professors, joint scientific work can be done to not only enhance scientific diplomacy but also to use other countries' and foreign universities' facilities for the scientific production of universities in Iran," he added.
Aziz Habibi's news conference was held in the city of Ardabil on the occasion of the anniversary of establishment of the Mohaghegh Ardabili University, on Saturday.
