Iran showcases 'Nahid 1' satellite
Iran showcased its newly-developed 'Nahid 1' satellite, at a special ceremony attended by the Information and Communications Technology Minister, journalists and correspondents on Saturday.
Iran Press/Iran news: The new home-made satellite has completed final testing, and is currently being prepared for a launch in the near future.
Speaking on the sidelines of the ceremony Mohammad Javad Azari Jahromi said to Iran Press that 'Nahid 1' can stay in space for two-and-a-half months.
Iran's ICT minister showed Nahid-1 Satellite to reporters and rejected any suggestion of satellite launch, saying: "Nahid-1 is a Telecommunication satellite and it will work in the UHF band and KU band and will establish communicative connections and is primarily a communications satellite."
Jahromi added: "Nahid-1 will be stationed in a 250 Kilometre orbit around the earth and its operation time is two-and-a-half months. Nahid 1 is equipped with high-resolution cameras and can take high-resolution photographs and send them back to earth."

Meanwhile, Iran's ICT Minister referred to Trump's tweet on alleged satellite launch or missile test at the Semnan Space Research centre and tweeted, "Me & Nahid I right now, Good Morning Donald Trump!" 101/211
