A senior foreign policy advisor to the Iranian Parliament Speaker said that Iraq and other Middle Eastern countries would be safer without the US' interference.
Iran Press/Iran news: A senior aide to Ali Larijani and former deputy foreign minister Hussein Amir-Abdollahian addressed the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in a tweet on Friday, saying: "People in the Middle East know well the White House is mainly responsible for Iraq's military occupation, the creation of ISIS terrorist group, more insecurity, further corruption, and killing of more than 1 million Iraqis.”
Mr. @SecPompeo, people in the ME know well the #WhiteHouse is mainly responsible for #Iraq military occupation, #Daesh creation, more insecurity, further corruption & killing of more than 1M Iraqis. No doubt, without #US interference, we will have safe & stable Iraq and the ME. pic.twitter.com/EfXH09W7QI

“There is no doubt that without the US' interference, both Iraq and the Middle East will be safe and stable,” he added.
Amir-Abdollahian was responding to Pompeo’s Tuesday tweet, in which he accused Tehran of meddling in the affairs of Iraq and Lebanon.
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani also said earlier that the only way to achieve security in the region is by stopping the US' intervention and the Zionist regime's escalating interferences, or else the insecurity will continue.

The comments came as Iraq is grappling with anti-government protests in several cities.
