Tabriz (IP) - Artashes Toumanian, the Armenian ambassador to Iran, said that Iran and Armenia are good neighbors and East Azerbaijan province is the first link between two countries.

Iran Press/Iran news: Artashes Toumanian, speaking at Tabriz Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday evening, said: "Iran and Armenia are ancient nations of the world and the people of East Azerbaijan province know a lot about Armenia."

Armenia's ambassador to Iran also said on economic issues, "Armenia is the first member of the Eurasian Economic Union and is currently one of the five-member states of the union. With Armenia's membership in the Union, its economic potential has more than doubled, and Iran can also contribute."
