Iran's Foreign Minister denounced the Saudi-led Yemen war and blockade as "useless" act.

Iran Press/Iran news: "Iran knows the continuation of the Yemeni war and Yemeni blockade useless and encourages all sides to take measure through peaceful solutions," tweeted Mohammad Javad Zarif.

Also on Thursday, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi in a meeting with his Kuwaiti counterpart Khaled Al-Jarallah in Kuwait said that Tehran is ready to find a proper mechanism to implement Hormuz Peace Endeavor (HOPE) in collaboration with all Persian Gulf littoral states. 

He added that Iran’s HOPE, proposed by President Hassan Rouhani at the recent UN General Assembly, is a proper mechanism in which regional countries can strengthen peace and stability and promote their bilateral and multilateral cooperation.

 Earlier in an address to the 74th session of the UN General Assembly on September 25, Rouhani said as a steward of maritime security in the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz, Iran invites all countries that are affected by developments in the strategic region to join the Hormuz Peace Endeavor.
