Mousavi announces Iran's readiness to expand cooperation with PGCC
Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman announced Tehran's readiness to expand cooperation with the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
Iran Press/ Iran News: Seyyed Abbas Mousavi said on Wednesday: "Iran has pursued its policy of expanding relations with its neighbors, including members of the PGCC, and has tried to help them without interfering in their internal issues."
Mousavi underlined that some of Iran's neighbors felt their existence depends on the absence of others, adding: "This attitude, as well as the call for foreign countries to provide security, is one of the plagues facing the West Asian region," Iran Press reported.
He also referred to Afghanistan's developments, saying that the Taliban is a fact that is lingering in Afghanistan and ignoring it would lead to further instability and tension in the country.
"Iran has sought to persuade the Taliban to negotiate with the Afghan central government to reach a solution," Mousavi added.
