Tehran (IP) - Advisor to Iranian President Hesamodin Ashna stated on Wednesday that any adverse military action by the US will be met with an all-out war across the region.

Iran Press/Iran News: In response to the recent Iran's attack against US Ain Al-Assad airbase in Iraq, an advisor to Iranian President Hesamodin Ashna stated on Wednesday in a twitter message that any US military attack would face a full-scale war in the region."

He wrote, "Any adverse military action by the US will be met with an all-out war across the region," Iran Press reported.

Ashna also emphasized that "The Saudis, however, could take a different path- they could have total peace!"

In a statement released in the early hours of Wednesday morning, the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) confirmed that a US airbase in western Iraq has been hit with 'tens of missiles'.

The attack came in response to a US terrorist drone strike days earlier that martyred one of Iran's top Generals, the former Commander of IRGC's elite Quds Force, Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani.
