Tehran (IP) - The Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has wished immediate recovery for the senior Iraqi cleric Ayatollah Ali Sistani Ayatollah.

Iran Press/ Iran news: In a message released in the wake of Ayatollah Sistani’s illness, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei prayed to God for his complete health.

Grand Ayatollah Ali Sistani has fractured his left thigh bone and undergone surgery at Karbala hospital.

The 89-year-old Ayatollah, Iraq's most revered Shia cleric is recovering from surgery for a fractured bone following an accident in his home, officials close to the cleric said Thursday.
