4.9 magnitude quake in NW Iran caused slight damages

An earthquake measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale shook northwestern Iranian city of Oshnaviyeh on Wednesday night and caused slight damages to more than one hundred buildings in urban and rural areas.
Iran Press/ Iran news: The quake inflicted no casualties, but the area had several aftershocks, caretaker of Oshnaviyeh Governorate Abdolsalam Mam Azizi told reporters.
According to Azizi, the crisis management team is on alert in the region.
Institute of Geophysics of Tehran University announced that the quake has occurred at 21:37 hours local time (1807 GMT.)
The epicenter of the tremor was in an area located at the 37.26-degrees latitude and 45.08-degrees longitude. It was at a depth of 10 km.
Oshnaviyeh, 50 km of the provincial capital city of Orumiyeh, is near Iran's borders with Iraq and Turkey.
