Mashhad (IP) - International conference on martyred Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani titled 'Geography of Resistance and Global Security' kicked off in Mashhad in northeastern Iran on Saturday afternoon.

Iran Press/Iran news: Prominent Afghan personalities and representatives of resistance movements such as Hezbollah in Lebanon, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Palestinian Hamas movement, and Yemen's Ansarallah movement are all attending the conference.

The late Commander of Quds Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani, who had traveled to Iraq on the official invitation of the Iraqi government, was assassinated in a US air-raid on Baghdad in the early hours of Friday morning on 3 January 2020, along with his companions.
