Tehran (IP) - Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has said that US president is maliciously tightening its illegal sanctions with aim of draining Iran's resources needed in the fight against COVID19.

Iran Press/Iran News: Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Java Zarif in a message in his twitter account said US president Donald Trump is maliciously tightening US' illegal sanctions with the aim of draining Iran's resources needed in the fight against COVID-19, while our citizens are dying from it.

"The world can no longer be silent as US Economic Terrorism is supplanted by its Medical Terrorism," Zarif wrote.

Even though the US Treasury Department announced partial relief on February 28 to allow humanitarian aid to arrive in Iran through Switzerland, many companies are still hesitant to export critical medical supplies for worries of triggering retaliation from the US, apart from concerns over the difficult transaction procedures. 101/207
