Tehran (IP) - Iran's health official called the US healthcare system 'incapable' in fighting with the Coronavirus.

Iran PressIran News: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press, Alireza Raisi, Deputy Health Minister said that Iran is ready to help the US in fighting with the Coronavirus.

Referring to the recent claims of the US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo about the US willingness to help Iran in the Coronavirus issue, Raisi said: "I wish that an expert would talk instead of Mr. Pompeo because he doesn't have any expertise in medical matters."

"The US healthcare system is incapable to deal with the spread of the Coronavirus; however, this problem doesn't make us happy because we want to witness every country's progress in the medical sector," he added.

"Now the reality is getting clear in the US, and it is only the US government that has the authority to publish the latest statistics of coronavirus toll," Raisi noted.

He went on to say if the US officials are worried about humanitarian issues, they should lift the sanctions against Iran.

"The move would surely help Iran in fighting with coronavirus," Raisi underlined.
