All forces joined Health Ministry in fight against COVID-19: Spox.
Tehran (IP) - Iran's Health Ministry Spokesman said that all forces and organizations of the country have joined Health Ministry to contain the spread of the deadly coronavirus.
Iran Press/Iran News: Answering the question of Iran Press correspondent via video-conferencing on Wednesday, Kianoosh Jahanpour said that Iran has the one of the best healthcare systems in Asia and even in the world.
He added that the Iranian Armed Forces, Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), and Red Crescent Society have offered their help to contain the spread of coronavirus.
"They also help set COVID-19 patients counting headquarters across the country. Many organizations like Armed Forces, Law Enforcement, Red Crescent Society and every other section have joined the Health Ministry to contain the disease. We hope our experience will help other countries control this COVID-19 outbreak," Kianoosh Jahanpour added.
According to the latest statistics, 9,625 patients from a total of 27,017 cases have recovered from COVID-19 disease, caused by the novel coronavirus, all across Iran.
According to Spokesman, so far, more than 47,5 million have been screened for COVID-19 in the country and the National Mobilization Plan Against Coronavirus is underway in the country and is a successful model for other countries.
The coronavirus outbreak began in December 2019 in Wuhan, China, and appears to have been originated from non-domestic animals. Chinese officials now admit that the virus probably spread in Wuhan in November or even earlier.
The COVID-19 viral disease that has swept into at least 195 countries, infected around 434,595 and killed 19,603 people is now officially a pandemic, according to the World Health Organization announcement on Wednesday, March 11.
