Rouhani praises efforts of armed forces in fighting Coronavirus
Tehran (IP) - The Iranian president Hassan Rouhani praised the country's armed forces' efforts to combat the Coronavirus.
Iran Press/ Iran news: Chief of Staff for the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran Major General Mohammad Bagheri presented a report on the actions of 'Imam Reza Base' in the fight against the Coronavirus disease to the Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.
In response to the report, President Rouhani thanked the actions of all the armed forces in this critical situation.
Since the announcement of the first cases of Coronavirus in Iran, the armed forces have been working alongside the Ministry of Health officials to counter the virus.
On March 12, Iran’s Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei ordered Chief of Staff for the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran Major General Mohammad Bagheri to establish 'Imam Reza Base' as part of the country’s efforts to combat the Coronavirus.
Head of Public Relations and Information Center of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education Kianoush Jahanpour announced on Wednesday that so far, 47593 people in the country have definitely been infected with the Coronavirus, 3036 people have died due to the virus and 15473 have recovered.
