Iranian Army doctrine defensive, based on deterrence power
Tehran (IP)- Iran’s Army Chief of Staff and Deputy Coordinator said the army’s doctrine is defensive, established based on deterrence power and Iran’s Armed Forces’ doctrine.
Iran Press/ Iran News: Iran’s Army Chief of Staff and Deputy Coordinator Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari referring to Iran’s Army Day on April 17 said that such equipment unveiled are both of the military use and also to protect the health of society and fight the coronavirus.
Sayyari stressed that due to the outbreak of coronavirus and following the policies of the national headquarters for fighting coronavirus, the Army Day’s military parade has turned to ‘Service Parade’ with the slogan ‘Defenders of Homeland and Assistants of Health’, in which the army’s equipment and services to help people against the coronavirus are showcased.
April 17 In the Iranian calendar has been named ‘Army Day’ at the initiative of Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Revolution.
