Zarif, Guterres stress need to send humanitarian aid to Yemen

Tehran (IP): The Iranian Foreign Minister and the UN Secretary-General emphasized the need to open and secure the borders and ports of Yemen to send humanitarian aid to its people especially during the corona crisis.
Iran Press/ Iran News: In a telephone conversation with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said that there is no military solution to the Yemeni crisis, noting “the establishment of a lasting ceasefire is a prelude to the beginning of a political process to resolve the crisis in Yemen. “
The UN Secretary-General also welcomed the Islamic Republic's efforts to establish a ceasefire in Yemen and the start of political talks.
In a telephone conversation with Zarif on April 12, the UN Secretary-General also presented a report on the UN's efforts to maintain the ceasefire in Yemen.
