Hazrat Masoumeh shrine during Coronavirus pandemic
Qom (IP) - Hazrat Masoumeh's holy shrine (as), south of Tehran, has been shut down due to coronavirus outbreak.
Iran Press/Iran News: Before the COVID-19 epidemic in Iran, the holy shrine was hosting Iranian and foreign pilgrims but these days to cut the Coronavirus chain, it hosts no pilgrims.
By implementing hygienic protocols and Iran's Health Ministry's supervision to check the conditions, the religious sites will be reopened in the White zone.
As well as, Hazrat Masoumeh's holy shrine, other holy shrines impose restrictions.
Following the concerns over the outbreak of coronavirus, pilgrims were banned to take part in religious rituals in the holy shrine of Imam Reza in Mashhad, central Khorasan Razavi province, northeast of Iran.
As the Coronavirus outbreak put restrictions on all social interactions, this year, holy Ramadan's mass ceremonies such as Iftar or Quran recitation, and mass prayers at holy sites have given way to individual prayers and worship at home.
Today, Iran's deputy health minister Iraj Harirchi referred to the possibility of the second wave of COVID-19 in the country, but said that the Ministry of Health has predicted with the observance of social distancing program and gradual reopening, the downward trend will continue during May and June in the whole country.
