    Rouhani, Abe stress on mutual cooperation to fight Coronavirus

Tehran (IP) - In a telephone conversation, President Hassan Rouhani and Japanese Prime Minister Abe Shinzo stressed that tensions between the whole world should be reduced while the whole is grappling with the Coronavirus outbreak and relations between countries should be based on humanitarian relations.

Iran PressIran news: In this telephone conversation on Tuesday, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and Japanese Prime Minister Abe Shinzo discussed the need for cooperation between the two countries in the fight against the Coronavirus, as well as the transfer and sharing of experiences.

During the telephone call, the two sides emphasized the development and deepening of bilateral ties and expressed hope that with the implementation of the previous agreements, they will witness the expansion of relations and cooperation, especially in the economic and trade fields.

The High-ranking officials also called for continued consultations and efforts in the region and the world, stressing the need for peace, and stability in the region and the world, noting that tensions must be eased around the world, and countries' relations are based on humanitarian relations given that the whole is grappling with the coronavirus.

Rouhani praised the Japanese government for its humanitarian assistance to Iran in the fight against the Coronavirus and noted that unfortunately, in the difficult conditions of the fight against Corona, as well as its very severe economic consequences, the illegal US sanctions against the Iranian people have intensified.

He said that there is no other way to save the world from this virus than to cooperate with all countries, adding: "With the escalation of US cruel and inhumane sanctions against Iran, we are facing many problems today, even in the field of medical equipment and food supply."

Stating that in these difficult circumstances, the cooperation between the two governments of Iran and Japan will remain in the historical memory of our nations, the President highlighted: "We always respect the joint consultations and talks between the two countries on issues of interest."

Emphasizing the need for continued efforts to reduce tensions in the region and the world, Rouhani made the remark: "We regret that in recent weeks we have witnessed US' pugnacities in Iraq and the Persian Gulf region, while the United States has always initiated tensions in the region."

Reacting to the Americans' claim that they were ready to help Iran fight the coronavirus, he said, "If the Americans are honest in this situation and want to take action, the only way is to end Iran's illegal sanctions."

In the telephone conversation, the Japanese Prime Minister stressed the need for cooperation and efforts of all countries to overcome the difficult phase of the coronavirus outbreak and the global economic crisis caused by it and said that the situation in the Middle East is tense and we stress the need for peace and stability in the region.

Abe Shinzo named Iran as an important and influential country that plays an important role in establishing peace and tranquility in the region and added: "Tokyo will continue its efforts and cooperation with Tehran in this regard."

The Japanese Prime Minister called the increase in US sanctions against Iran in the context of the outbreak of the coronavirus incorrect and concluded: "In this situation, humanitarian action should be on the agenda of all countries." 207
