Tehran (IP) - 10 overhauled helicopters in the collection of Iran Helicopter Support and Renewal Company (IHSRC) were delivered to the Armed Forces in Tehran.

Iran Press/ Iran News: Iranian Deputy Defense Minister Brigadier General Ghasem Taghizadeh said on Sunday: "Manufacturing of small parts, overhauling, training, and production of various types of Iranian helicopters are among the responsibilities and missions of IHSRC company."

"The company has managed to achieve significant success by relying on the domestic ability and will of the youth, as well as using the scientific capacities of the world," he added.

Brigadier General Ghasem Taghizadeh stated that in the year called 'Surge in Production', Iranian experts have overhauled and modernized various types of combat helicopters, adding: "The experience of the Islamic Revolution, the crucial and decisive conditions of the holy defense, the imposition of oppressive sanctions and the future needs of the country led to a strategic vision in the field of improving the power and capability of helicopters in the Iranian Ministry of Defense."

Iran has made major achievements and successes in its defense sector and obtained self-sufficiency in producing important military equipment and hardware.

Iran says its defensive power poses no threat to other countries and is merely based on the doctrine of deterrence.
