Nearly 160,000 COVID-19 patients recovered in Iran: Health Min. Spox.
Tehran (IP) - Iran's Ministry of Health Spokeswoman said that so far, more than 200,000 people in the country have been infected with the coronavirus, and nearly 160,000 of total infected people have recovered.
Iran Press/ Iran news: Speaking on Friday about the latest data on the coronavirus in the country and the deaths caused by the virus, Sima Sadat Lari said: "According to the definitive laboratory findings and from yesterday to June 19 in the country, 2,615 new patients with COVID-19 were diagnosed in the country and the number of patients with this disease reached 200,262."
986 of the new patients were hospitalized.
Fortunately, 159,192 patients have recovered and discharged so far, Lari added.
The Spokeswoman said: "Unfortunately, in the past 24 hours, 120 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, and 9,392 people have lost their lives in the country to date."
The official stated: "2,833 patients are in a critical condition."
So far, 1,370,718 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted in the country, the Health Ministry spokeswoman said.
According to the Spokeswoman, the provinces of Khuzestan, Hormozgan, Kurdistan, Bushehr, West Azerbaijan, and southern Sistan and Baluchestan are in an alarming situation.
