Iranian companies to achieve success in producing Coronavirus vaccine
Tehran (IP) - Director-General of Iranian Health Ministry’s office for Health-Tech Development Hossein Vatanpour said that a number of Iranian knowledge-based companies are working to prepare Coronavirus vaccine and by the end of this current Iranian year (starting on March 21).
Iran Press/Iran News: Hossein Vatanpour noted on Monday that "Iranian HPV and seasonal flu vaccines will also be produced and offered by the end of this year."
He further stated that the vaccine environment must be separate, which is being done for the Corona vaccine.
Vatanpour also said, "Currently, three knowledge-based companies are working on the production of the HPV vaccine, which according to their efforts and scientific capacities, this achievement will reach the construction stage by the end of the year."
The Iranian HPV vaccine, which is used to prevent cervical cancer, was supposed to be produced by the end of 1398 (Last year in Iranian calendar) but was delayed due to some issues, especially the prevalence of coronavirus disease, and by the end of this year, we will see this achievement.
"This vaccine will enter the clinical trial stage immediately after production," he said, "We hope that Iranian vaccines will successfully pass this stage and be available to everyone."
So far, around 1, 639, 087 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted in the country," the Health Ministry spokeswoman said.
The provinces of Khuzestan, Kurdistan, West and East Azerbaijan, Kermanshah, Hormozgan, Bushehr, and Khorasan Razavi have the most cases of COVID-19 disease and are in the red alert.
The provinces of Ilam, Lorestan, and Golestan are on the Yellow alert.
