Captain, crew of tanker sent to Venezuela honored
Hormozgan (IP) - The captain and crew of the tanker returning from Venezuela were honored Thursday night during a ceremony attended by the governor-general of Hormozgan, and some other officials at the port of Shahid Rajaei.
Iran Press/Iran News: A commemorative statue on behalf of Head of Iran's Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO) and the Deputy Minister of Roads and Transportation Mohammad Rastad was given to the captain and crew of the tanker in order to appreciate them.
Iran recently sent five fuel tankers to Venezuela despite US sanctions, which according to experts was a major success for Tehran.
With the arrival of Iranian tankers in Venezuela, the Karakas government and military officials thanked the Iranian people for their solidarity in sending fuel to the country and promised to continue bilateral relations between the two countries.
In recent months, the United States has sought to overthrow the legitimate government of Venezuela, which has an anti-American approach, by threatening, imposing sanctions, putting pressure on Venezuela's economy. An approach that has never been successful.
