Tehran (IP) - The spokeswoman for the Ministry of Health, Sima Sadat Lari in her presser said, so far, 273,656 people in the country have definitely been infected with the coronavirus, and 237,788 of the total infected people have recovered and discharged so far.

Iran Press/Iran News: Iran's Ministry of Health Spokeswoman Sima Sadat Lari on Sunday reported the latest data on the coronavirus in the country and the deaths caused by the virus.

She said: "According to the definitive laboratory findings and from yesterday to July 19 in the country, 2,182 new patients with COVID-19 were diagnosed in the country and the number of patients with this disease reached 273,656."

1,324 of the new patients were hospitalized, Lari reported.

The Spokeswoman said, "Unfortunately, in the past 24 hours, 209 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, and 14,188 people have lost their lives in the country to date." 

3, 556 COVID-19 patients  are in critical condition.

"So far, around 2,148,999 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted in the country," the Health Ministry spokeswoman said.

According to the spokeswoman, the provinces of East Azerbaijan, Ilam, Bushehrو Khuzestan, Khorasan Razavi, Mazandaran, Zanjan, Kerman, Golestan, and Fars provinces are in the red alert.
