Iranian, Turkish Presidents stress on boosting trade and economic cooperation
Tehran (IP) - Iranian and Turkish Presidents in a phone conversation on Friday stress the comprehensive development of mutual ties in different areas, particularly in trade and economic cooperation.
Iran Press/ Iran News: Calling his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Friday, Iran's President Hassan Rouhani congratulated Eid al-Adha and expressed hope that the two countries could make effective efforts to control the Coronavirus through cooperation and exchange of experience.
Noting that the US is imposing oppressive sanctions on the Iranian nation, Rouhani said in such a situation, friendly and neighboring countries such as Iran and Turkey should further develop their relations and cooperation.
Iran's President referred to some problems in the region and expressed hope that with the efforts and cooperation of all regional countries, peace and stability will be established throughout the region.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for his part congratulated Eid al-Adha and expressed hope that it would be a blessing for the people of the two countries and for all Muslims around the world.
Appreciating successful efforts of the Iranian nation and government in the fight against the coronavirus, Erdogan stressed the expansion of cooperation and experience exchange in the path.
Still stressing the need to expand trade and economic relations between Iran and Turkey and accelerate trade in accordance with the health protocols, Erdogan expressed hope that a meeting of the Supreme Council for Strategic Cooperation between the two countries would be held in the near future.
On 24 May, Rouhani and Erdogan in a telephone conversation agreed on the immediate reopening of land and air borders between two countries observing all health protocols to contain the spread of the Coronavirus.
