Tehran (IP)- The spokeswoman for Iranian Ministry of Health, Sima Sadat Lari said that fortunately, 268,102 patients have recovered and discharged so far.

Iran PressIran News: Sima Sadat Lari also said, so far, 2,685 people in the country have definitely been infected with the coronavirus during the 24 hours. 

The spokeswoman for the Ministry of Health, said on Sunday about the latest data on the coronavirus in the country and the deaths caused by the virus, "According to the definitive laboratory findings and from yesterday to August 2nd in the country, 2,685 new patients with COVID-19 were diagnosed. Also, the number of patients with this disease reached 309,437.1,423  of the new patients were hospitalized."

The Spokeswoman said, "Unfortunately, in the past 24 hours, 208 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, and 17,190 people have lost their lives in the country to date."The official stated, "4089 patients are in intensive care units."Around 2,508,418  COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted in the country," the Health Ministry spokeswoman said.

According to the spokeswoman, Tehran, Mazandaran, Golestan, Fars, East Azerbaijan, Ardabil, Isfahan, Alborz, Ilam, Khorasan Razavi, Kerman, North Khorasan, Semnan, Lorestan, and Hormozgan provinces are in the Red zone.Also, she added West Azerbaijan, Khuzestan, Bushehr, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Zanjan, Hamedan, Kohgiluyeh, and Boyer Ahmad, Markazi, Yazd, Gilan and Qom provinces is on alert.
