  • Iran's Hatami: Enemies sought to institutionalise insecurity in region

Tehran (IP) - Minister of Defense Brigadier General Amir Hatami said on Tuesday that the enemies had a great plan for West Asia and wanted to establish insecurity in the region for decades and hundreds of years.

Iran PressIran News: "Resistance fighters stood under the command of Lt. Gen. Soleimani and thanks to the blood of the martyrs, and the will of the fighters this did not happen," the minister added.

Speaking with the reporters on the sideline of the opening ceremony of an exhibition about Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani, Brigadier General Amir Hatami said: "In this exhibition, we will get acquainted with two subjects of malice and very great crimes of the enemy."

Amir Hatami stated: "The resistance fighters with the brave and courageous command of Lt. Gen. Soleimani and of course the full support of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the defense industry, were able to stand against those who brought money and weapons to create insecurity in the region which did not happen until now."

Hatami added: "Today, we have an upper hand in the construction of military equipment and we support them in any field that our armed forces need so that we can eradicate oppression and crime in this region and the world."

Lt. Gen. Qassem Soleimani, commander of the IRGC's Quds Force, who had arrived in Iraq on January 3 at the official invitation of Iraqi officials, along with Abu Mahdi al-Mohandes, deputy head of the Iraqi People's Basij (al-Hashd al-Shabi), and eight others in an airstrike orchestrated by The American aggressor.   104/216
